What Does the Scholarship Cover?
Selected applicants receive a full-access pass valued at US$1,895. This provides access to both the Satellite Innovation Symposium and MilSat Symposium, including sessions, meals and networking activities.
However, this is not a fully funded travel scholarship.
Flights, accommodation, visa expenses and meals outside the programme are not covered. Applicants must therefore be able to arrange and finance their travel to the United States. SGAC may allow additional sponsorship to complement the scholarship.
Who Can Apply?
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be an eligible, registered SGAC member
- Be aged 18–35 on 29 October 2026
- Be a founder, entrepreneur, startup team member or developer of a commercial space-related venture
- Attend the event in person
- Be able to travel to the United States
- Secure any required US visa before 26 October 2026
- Provide the travel-related evidence requested by SGAC
There is no stated requirement to have previously raised investment. Selection instead considers factors such as commercial potential, communication and what attending the event could achieve for the applicant and venture.
What Kind of Venture Is Eligible?
The opportunity is intended for commercially promising space-related ideas and ventures.
Your idea does not necessarily need to be a mature company. It may still be at the prototype, university or pitch-deck stage. However, applicants should be able to demonstrate a genuine commercial concept rather than simply an interest in space.
How to Apply
The application requires two separate one-minute videos.
The first should explain your motivation for attending, including the connections, knowledge, customers or opportunities you hope to gain.
The second should pitch your venture by explaining the problem, proposed solution, target customer and commercial potential.
Applicants should then:
- Register or log in to SGAC.
- Access the scholarship application through the official announcement.
- Record both videos in English.
- Upload the videos to YouTube and submit their links.
- Provide the required supporting evidence.
- Submit one complete application.
Each person and venture is limited to one entry, and multiple applications from the same venture can result in disqualification.
Application Deadline
The advertised deadline is 15 September 2026 at 23:59 Pacific Time, with scholarship results scheduled for 25 September 2026. The event itself takes place from 27–29 October 2026 in Mountain View, California.
